This week on Outdoor Magazine I’m hunting turkeys in my home state of Michigan. To make the challenge even tougher…I’m using a Predator recurve bow.
I knew taking a longbeard with traditional archery tackle would be a challenge, and I wasn’t disappointed.
I sat in an Ameristep Dominator ground blind for twelve days and had several close encounters with nice birds before finally putting one down a half hour before my season ended.
Lots of great turkey hunting action with traditional archery tackle this week on Outdoor Magazine….I hope you enjoy it.
On Sunday you said to get on your website to enter in to the drawing for the quad, but nothing about a quad comes up to click on. how can I do it ? I enjoy your program on the radio. thank you . rich jackson
I listen to your program on the radio. Sunday, Aug. 23, and you said to click onto quad, to enter in the drawing, but for some reason quad does not come up for me to do that. I typed in outdoor magazine.tv, like you said. Is there something I am doing wrong? I enjoy your program. rich jackson thank you
Hi Rich,
That link is at the top of the front page on our website…..http://www.outdoormagazine.tv
Click it and you’ll go right to the proper place.
Good luck.
Mike:
This is a very good looking site and I’ll continue to check it out as often as possible, and hope you do the same with my website. Good luck on your bear hunt.
I’ve found over many years, and the taking of 28 bruins, that when a bruin is hit properly with an arrow, it dies much faster than when hit with a rifle bullet or shotgun slug.
Keep in touch. — Dave
Thanks Dave, those are nice comments coming from a man with your credentials.
I agree with you on the effective of archery gear. I believe an arrow in the right spot will often take an animal down faster than a bullet. I’ve seen it first hand on African animals, bears and whitetails.
I’ll keep an eye on your site as well.
Thanks again,
