An other fast paced show this weekend.

First, I talk with Jeff Starks. He’s the Michigan hunter who was attacked by a bear while hunting in the Upper Peninsula. Jeff’s first hand account of the incident might have you thinking twice the next time you see a bear with cubs.

Then, Craig Owczarzak of Meats and Mooore in Bay City joins me to talk about processing venison and other wild game. Craig says tasty venison dishes begin with proper care of the animal while still in the field.

Long time friend Jim Barta of the Hunter Safety System is featured in our second hour. Jim is a Michigan native who now finds himself as one of the top managers at that respected company. Jim talks about how the concept of treestand safety has changed over the years and he outlines some new products for this season.

Veteran Michigan hunter and outdoor writer Tom Lounsbury kicks off the final hour of this weekend’s show. Tom and I discuss the early doe season and the upcoming pheasant season, as well as many other outdoor topics and issues.

The show wraps up with wild game Chef Dixie Dave Minar. As always, Dave has another tasty recipe.

This show is packed full of great outdoor information. I hope you can join me.
