It’s another busy show this week on Outdoor Magazine Radio.

First, Eric Sherwood of the Whitetail Select food plot company joins me.  Eric says August is a great time to put in a food plot and he has lots of advice on how to be successful.

Then Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews checks in with a look at their latest edition and another preview of the big Outdoor Weekends coming up in Imlay City and Kalamazoo.

Fishing on northern Lake Huron is the subject in our second hour as I talk with Ed Retherford of Trout Scout Charters.  Ed fishes the Alpena, Presque Isle and Rogers City areas.  He says the fishing got off to a slow start this year but the action is consistent now.

Tony Hansen of MUCC wraps up the hour.  Tony explains how hunters and anglers can help the DNR on habitat improvement issues.

In hour number three I talk with an old friend….Lennie Rezmer of Carbon Express.  Lennie talks about the evolution of carbon arrows and outlines their current lineup.  We also talk about broadheads and how to pick the right one.

The show wraps up with wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar.  This week Dave has a very nice duck recipe.  He says you could use it with goose as well.

Another good show filled with lots of great guests and information.  I hope you like it.
