There’s an interesting lineup of guests and topics this week on Outdoor Magazine Radio.

First, avid outdoorsman Jeff Hammond has details on trapping crayfish from Michigan streams and lakes.  He says it’s a lot of fun and those crayfish are excellent eating.

Then, Scott Szafranski of the Linwood Beach Marina talks about perch fishing on Saginaw Bay.  That fishery is starting to heat up and shows a lot of promise for late summer and early fall.

Hour two features veteran charter captain Ed Retherford of Trout Scout Charters on northern Lake Huron.  Ed says the fishing has been pretty good this year, including a mixed bag of salmon, trout and even walleye.

Then, Hanna Schauer of the Michigan dnr joins me to talk wildlife education classes offered to schools at no cost.

Michigan based Darton Archery is featured in hour three of this week’s show as I talk with Ted Harpham.  Ted talks about their company history and current lineup of compounds and crossbows.

We wrap it all up with chef Dixie Dave Minar.   This time Dave has a very nice bear recipe.

I hope you like the show.
