Radio Rundown for 11/11-11/12

First, Allan Goetz of the Michigan Buck Pole  joins me to talk about their daily hunting and fishing report.  He also has a checklist for opening day.

Then Carol Rose from the Michigan Wildlife Council (HereforMiOutdoors) has an update on their campaign to protect hunting, fishing and trapping.

Next, Emily Mallory with the details of their latest giveaway from the Forward Corporation.  It involves a $500 gift certificate from Jays Sporting Goods.

Hour two kicks off with Trevor Daley from the Michigan Trappers and Predator Callers Association (mtpca.com).  Trevor describes the trapping lifestyle and talks about the traps used today.

Drew YoungeDyke from the National Wildlife Federation (nwf.org) wraps up the hour talking about the issues his group is working on, including the latest on asian carp.

Rob Miller, the guy largely responsible for the popularity of deer tracking dogs in Michigan today, is featured in hour three.  Rob describes the increase in the use of tracking dogs and has advice to help hunters recover more deer.  You can learn more on his facebook page (facebook.com/SyprisandSargentdeertracking).

Wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar wraps it all up.  This time he has a very nice venison recipe.

A good show this week.  I hope you can join me.
