This week on the Outdoor Magazine show we’re hunting whitetails with my friends from the Hunter Safety System.
First Jim Barta takes us to Kansas for a bowhunt. Jim has several close encounters with nice bucks there, including one that snuck in as he was climbing down his tree. After four days of hard hunting, Jim takes a beautiful ten point on camera.
Then, Jim gives us some tips on how to stay safe in a treestand.
Next, we follow Jim’s partners John and Jerry Wydner to Ohio where they’re hunting with Bill Pyles of Ohio Bowhunting Outfitters. John also has a close encounter with a buck on the ground and Jerry gets a deflection when trying to put an arrow through a beautiful ten pointer.
