It`s time to sign up for the 3rd annual charity golf outing. We want to raise money for @outdoormentors , to get kids involved in the outdoors. We`re looking for golfers, sponsors and volunteers to make this another successful event. It`s Friday, July 31st at the West Branch Country Club.

The former leadership and staff at MUCC are some of the finest people I`ve ever worked with. Their dedication, insight and passion are second to none. Not to leave anyone out, but I`ve worked closely with Amy Trotter, Steve Windom, Justin Tomei, Tyler Mehigh, Logan Schultz, Shannon Stover and Jenae Birchmeier. It`s amazing what they were able to accomplish with such a small number of people. Their efforts will be missed.

Michigan is at a crossroads for the future of deer hunting. I don`t agree with the OBR folks (One Buck Rule) but I have respect for them because they`re passionate, well organized and dedicated. I just wish the Natural Resources Commission would also do something for the average "weekend warrior" deer hunter. Michigan NRC, you still have time...bring back legal baiting to the lower peninsula. If you want to increase the antlerless harvest and improve hunter satisfaction, baiting can be a valuable tool. #deermanagement #michigannrc
