Another very busy show this week.

First, I talk about my impressions of the Archery Trade Association (ATA) show in Columbus. I saw some cool new product, but spent much of my time people watching.

I also unveil the new website….MikeAveryOutdoors.com. Webmaster Jim Gleason of Lakewood Media and I have been working on this for a few weeks now and I’m very happy with how the new site turned out.

Next, Derrick Poet of Jay’s Sporting Goods joins me with a list of cool new products from ATA that will soon be on the store shelves at Jay’s.

The hour wraps up with Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews. Tom has a preview of next month’s edition.

This first hour was unique because it’s the first time I’ve streamed an entire hour of the show live from the radio studio. If you missed that event, you can watch a recording of the segment.

In hour number two I talk with a guy who’s become a good friend…Pete Jones of Superior Bear Outfitters. Pete runs a first class bear and wolf hunting operation in White River Ontario.

Here’s a nice boar I shot last August while hunting with Pete.

…and here’s the wolf I took last winter.

Next, Brenda Archambo of the Black Lake Chapter of Sturgeon for Tomorrow joins me to talk about that prehistoric fish and the traditions that surround it.

In hour number three spearfishing is the lead off topic as I talk with Gary Swiger of the Michigan Dark House Anglers Association. Gary has some great insight into the appeal of pike spearing and advice on how to get started.

As always we wrap up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This time Dave has a hearty bear recipe.

Another fast paced show filled with lots of great information. I hope you enjoy it.
