We start out the show talking with Tom Beecher of Vanguard Outdoors. Tom describes how the company made the transition from photography related products, into the hunting world. He also talks about some of those products. including binoculars, backpacks and shooting sticks.
Then Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews joins me to talk about the logistics of putting together a monthly print publication and the role outdoor writers play in that process.
Hour two kicks off with Jimmy Gretzinger of the popular Michigan Out of Doors TV show. Jimmy describes how he got started in the outdoor industry and what it takes to produce a weekly show.
Dan Eichinger of mucc is up next. He says there are some interesting items on the agenda in Lansing….including plans to revamp Michigan’s commercial fishing laws.
Veteran outdoor writer Richard P Smith is featured in hour 3 of this week’s show. Richard talks about the threat of CWD in Michigan and how that could affect deer hunting in the state.
We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This time we talk about field prep of fish and game, even before heading into the kitchen.
