CWD is the opening topic of discussion this week on Outdoor Magazine radio as I talk with Chad Stewart of the Michigan dnr.  Chad is the big game specialist for the department.  He talks about the disease related hunting regulations for this fall and decisions were made.

In hour two we head to northern Lake Michigan and the port of Frankfort to talk with David James of Fish Hunter Charters.  Dave says the fishing in Frankfort is different than many southern ports, but the action for big kings this year has been very good.

Then, Carol Rose of the Michigan Wildlife Council (HereForMiOutdoors.org) joins me with an update on the “Here For Generations” campaign to protect hunting and fishing.

Hour three features veteran outdoor writer Richard P Smith.  Richard talks about the upcoming Michigan bear season and the recent NRC decisions regarding CWD and southern Michigan deer hunting regulations.

We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar.   This time Dave has a nice bear recipe.

I hope you like the show.
