We kick off the show talking with Scott Hand of Michigan’s Montcalm County.  Scott recently found a CWD infected whitetail on his family farm.  He talks about how that animal acted, and the impact the disease is having on his hunting season.

Then, Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews talks about the November edition of their magazine.

Hour two kicks off with retired Michigan dnr fisheries technician and avid musky angler Don Barnard.  Don has great advice on catching big, fall muskies.

Next, Jim Hammill of the Michigan Wildlife Council joins me to talk about the “Here For Generations” campaign (HereforMiOutdoors.org).  Jim says they’re  making good progress on getting the word out about the importance of hunting and fishing to the people of Michigan.

James Severance of Burt Watson Chevrolet wraps up the hour.  James has a report on the waterfowl opener and also details of their “Bows and Bowties” promotion.

Pheasant hunting is the topic in hour 3 of this week’s show as I talk with outdoor writer and avid hunter Tom Lounsbury.  Tom talks about his pheasant hunting tactics and how the sport has changed in Michigan over the years.

We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar and another great wild game recipe.

I hope you like the show.
