This huge brown was caught in Michigan’s Big Manistee River by Tom Healy, a client of Tim Roller’s. Tim is the veteran river angler who owns Ultimate Outfitters guide service.
The certified weight is just under forty one and a half pounds. It beats Michigan’s state record by several pounds and the world record by more than a pound.
The anglers were casting crankbaits for chinook salmon when the huge fish hit.
Click here to listen to an excerpt from my interview with Tim about the catch. The full conversation can be hear on this weekend’s Outdoor Magazine radio show.

Congrats Tim!! That’s just awesome.
Why don’t we have a picture of Tom with the fish rather that Tim?
Because I don’t have a picture of Tom and I do have one of Tim.
