We don’t let the cold weather of wintertime slow us down this week on the Outdoor Magazine radio show.

First, Jim Barta of the Hunter Safety System joins me to talk about the new products for 2012. They include a “Hybrid” design that Jim says incorporates the best of their vest style and harness units.

Then Randy Jorgenson of Woods-n-Waternews checks in for a visit. I haven’t talked with Randy for a while and he has an update on all things WNW.

Hour two features “Michigan’s Mr. Walleye”, Mark Martin. Mark is a veteran walleye tournament angler and noted fishing educator who’s not afraid to share information. This week Mark has lots of great ice fishing advice.

Tony Hansen of MUCC wraps up the hour with thoughts on the ATA (Archery Trade Association) show and the state of archery today.

The final hour kicks off with Outdoor Writer Richard P. Smith. Richard is always a wealth of information and this week we talk about several topics including new regulations for bobcat trappers and Michigan’s camera moose hunt.

Here’s the winning entry submitted in this inaugural contest submitted by Ken Pamperin. It features a solitary bull in Iron County on October 8th.

Dixie Dave Minar wraps up this week’s show. Dave has a great story about a nice buck that walked through his backyard two days after the season closed. He has a nice recipe for us as well.

Another busy show, I hope you enjoy it.
