We kick off this week’s show by talking with bowhunter Dale Foster. Dale was hunting state land in northern Gladwin county when he was shot by a bird hunter. Fortunately, he wasn’t hurt, and the bird hunter didn’t know Dale was there, but it points out the challenges of hunting public land.
Then Michigan’s Meteorologist Mark Torregrossa (MLive.com) has a forecast for winter and also what we can expect from Great Lakes water levels.
Nick Grillo of Michigan Brand Meats talks about a promotion giveaway with the Forward Corporation.
He also has details of a recent gator hunting trip in Florida.
Hour number two kicks off with Wayne McGregor of Vanguard Outdoors. Wayne talks about using your cell phone or camera, in combination with a spotting scope to get amazing pictures and video.
Here’s a picture I took while experimenting with digiscoping.
Vanguard has a very cool digiscoping package for sale on their website.

Then, mucc Executive Director Dan Eichinger joins me to talk about some work that group is doing in Washington. He also has a reminder about getting a 10% discount on joining MUCC by using the promo code “MIKE”.
We’re talking sturgeon fishing in hour three of this week’s show. Jim Felgenauer of the St. Clair Chapter of Sturgeon for Tomorrow (StClairSturgeon.org) has great advice on how to catch the giant fish in the St. Clair River.
We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar and another great wild game recipe.
I hope you like the show.
