First, wildlife biologist Chad Stewart of the Michigan dnr joins me with a preview of what to expect from the upcoming deer season. He also talks about the biological and social impact of the youth hunt and has an update on CWD and TB in the Michigan deer herd.
Hour two kicks off with Conservation Officer Lt. Jeremy Payne. Jeremy says they’re looking for more officers and describes what it takes to be a modern day Game Warden. He also has some advice on staying legal in the field this fall.

Then, Matt puts on his Michigan bear hunters hat to discuss the state’s bear population and the number of tags issued by the DNR.
