We celebrate the official start of summer and Father’s Day weekend with some great guests this time on Outdoor Magazine radio.
First, Doug Deming of the Fish Point Lodge joins me to talk about the history of the lodge and he gives us some tips on fishing shallow water walleye on Saginaw Bay.
Tom Campbell of the Woods-n-Waternews also joins us in that first hour to talk about their big outdoor weekend coming up in Imlay City in early September.
Hour number two belongs to my friend Tom Lounsbury. I think Tom is the first guest ever to fill an entire hour with us, but for him it’s no problem. We talk about the history of Michigan’s Thumb, turkey hunting with a Darton crossbow and bass fishing the Cass River among other topics.
Our third hour kicks off with veteran Lake Michigan Charter Captain Gary Schaefer of Trout Scout Charter out in Manistee. Gary has some advice on catching Great Lakes Salmon.
We wrap up the show with Dixie Dave Minar. This week the chef has a tasty fish recipe.
Lots of great information this week….I hope you enjoy it.
