A busy show this week on Outdoor Magazine Radio as we wrap up the summer season….
First, I talk more about my bear hunting adventures in Northern Ontario. I spent ten days in the bush and never did get a shot at an animal. You can read more about that trip here.
Next, Eric Lafollette of Jay’s Sporting Goods has some great advice on choosing the right crossbow for this fall’s hunting season.
Then Brent Weiss of Weiss Equipment in Frankenmuth brings us up to speed on the Polaris quad giveaway. You can enter that contest by clicking here.
We wrap up the first hour with Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews. Tom brings has a preview of the big Outdoor Weekend next week in Imlay City.
In the second hour of the show Mike Hoadley of Predator Recurve Bows joins me to talk about the appeal of traditional archery. Mike says a growing number of bowhunters are picking up recurves and longbows.
Then, we check in with Mark Romanack of Precision Angling and Fishing 411. Mark and I haven’t talked for a couple of weeks because of conflicting schedules so we had lots to discuss…including his recent salmon fishing adventures on Lake Michigan.
Our final hour kicks off with a friend of mine…Pat McKenna of the Ameristep company. Ameristep is a great Michigan company that specializes in top quality ground blinds and tree stands. Pat walks us through the product lineup and has suggestions on which piece of gear to buy.
Next Chris George of the Ieuter Insurance Group joins me to talk about insurance issues for hunters and anglers. As we put away our summertime toys and get out the fall hunting gear there are some key things to remember. Chris has great advice.
We wrap up the show, as always, with wild game chef extraordinaire Dixie Dave Minar. This time Dave has another great recipe.
Wow, what a busy show! I hope you enjoy it….
