A busy show this week….
First, Steve Francis of The Country Smokehouse in Almont joins me to talk about the deer season from his perspective. Steve is one of Michigan’s biggest venison processors, and he says his season was down considerably.
Then, Melissa Grzegorczyk of the Ieuter Insurance Group talks about insurance concerns for the winter season, especially as it pertains to ice fishing. She’ll tell us if our vehicles are covered if we take them on the ice. The answer might surprise you.
The first hour wraps up as always with our friends from Woods-n-Waternews. This week Tom Campbell joins me.
Hour number two features one of my favorite guests, Tom Lounsbury. I can’t give you a link to his website because it’s not done yet, but I can tell you Tom and I have a great conversation about late season deer hunting, rabbit hunting with beagles and lots more. In fact, I found this conversations with Tom so interesting I offered him the “coveted third segment”. That’s an honor not many guests receive.
We wrap up the show with Ted Harpham of Darton Archery and Chef Dixie Dave Minar. Ted and I discuss the new “quad limb” Darton compound just introduced and we talk at length about making the transition to hunting with a crossbow.
Then, the Chef tells me of his plans to re-open the Old Dixie Inn (under a different name) and the status of his wild game soups. Dave also has a tasty recipe.
Another busy show. I hope you enjoy it.
