A little slower paced show this week as we explore a few topics in depth.
As usual, I start the show out with a diatribe on what’s happening in my world this week.
Then, we take a look at the Michigan Bow Hunters Association and what some folks say is a new direction for that group. I’ve been critical of the MBH in the past because of their “elitist attitude” and their opposition to crossbows. Club officer Fred Kleinhert joins me to talk about why that might be changing.
Something different in hour number two this week…the entire hour is dedicated to one subject and one guest. The topic is walleye fishing and the man is Mark Martin. Mark gives a historical perspective on the Michigan fishery and talks about early season action on Lake Erie.
The final hour features whitetail hunter Bill Vale. Pastor Bill says he’s come up with a sure fire way to target highly pressured bucks (like we have in Michigan), using the moon. He keys on the moon phase and the varying distance of the moon from earth.
We wrap it up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This time the chef has a tasty turkey recipe.
An interesting and eclectic mix this week on Outdoor Magazine radio. I hope you enjoy it.
