Some great guests coming up this week on the Outdoor Magazine radio show.

First, Outdoor Writer Tom Lounsbury joins me to talk about hunting Michigan turkeys in the late season. He also tells about his efforts to get rid of a family of raccoons living in his attic.

In the second hour Kenny Darwin makes his debut appearance on the show. Ken is a veteran outdoor writer and photographer with a reputation for looking at outdoor issues with common sense. Darwin talks about his concern over the future of Michigan’s walleye fishery. He also has some tips for folks looking to get into the world of outdoor writing.

Tony Hansen of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs wraps up the hour. Tony talks about his turkey hunting adventures and brings us up to speed on Michigan’s Hunter Heritage bill that would eliminate the state’s minimum hunting age.

In the third hour I welcome another old friend back to the show. Dave Mull is the editor of Great Lakes Angler Magazine. He’s been around the boating and fishing industries for a quarter century now, going back to his days as the Marketing Director for Starcraft Boats. Dave talks about the status of the Great Lakes salmon and trout fishery, and he has some advice on where to go for some great action this summer. By the way, Dave tells me you can save some money on a subscription to the mag by using the code mclub10 on their website.

The show wraps up with Dixie Dave Minar. This week the chef has a great wild turkey recipe.

Another busy show, packed with lots of great information….I hope you enjoy it.
