Another busy show this week…..
First, I talk with a man who says he’s had a hunting dog killed by a wolf…in lower Michigan. Larry Bialobrzeski is a veteran hunter with lots of experience watching coyotes and wolves….he says this animal was not a coyote.
Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews wraps up the hour with a look at the April edition of that magazine.
Then charter captain Mike Orr of East Chicago Indiana joins me to talk about early season trolling on southern Lake Michigan. Mike says the action for salmon and trout is fast and furious right now.
Tony Hansen of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs is up next with an update on outdoor related issues in Lansing.
The final hour features Derrick Poet of Jay’s Sporting Goods. Derrick helps us get ready for turkey season with some great advice on patterning a shotgun.
Wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar wraps things up with a preview of his wild game dinner season.
Another show filled with lots of great information…I hope you enjoy it.
I just watched your first recurve turkey kill. Just wanted to say GREAT job. I am hunting them in MS with my recurve for the first time this year. Took my first 3 deer with it this year after trying for 6 years. Had 8 hens and a jake 8 yards from me Saturday, but in MS we aren’t allowed to kill Jakes. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Gary. I love hunting with a recurve. These days I’m more likely to be out there with a crossbow, but for pure joy in archery and bowhunting, nothing beats a recurve (except maybe a longbow, but I’ve never hunted with one).
