I start out this week talking about a recent fishing trip on Saginaw Bay for walleye. It’s a real treat to be able to troll open water in mid March, especially when you get nice fish.

Then, Rick Mowery of Michigan’s Bohning Archery joins me to talk about building arrows. I recently used their tower jig to put Blazer vanes on a dozen Lumen Arrows.

Hour number two kicks off with Pierre Smarlack of Northern Outfitters in Quebec as he joins me to talk about springtime bear hunting. I’ll be heading up there in June with Ted Harpham of Darton Archery for a hunting and fishing adventure.

Here’s the bear Ted shot there last year.

The hour wraps up with Gary Schaefer of Trout Scout Charters in Manistee. Gary talks about how the unseasonably warm weather has affected the fishing and looks ahead to the salmon season.

Outdoor writer and wildlife researcher Richard P. Smith is up first in the final hour of this week’s show. Richard and I talk about bear numbers in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and his new DVD “Walking with Whitetails”.

We wrap it all up with wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar. This week Dave has a very nice recipe for coho or other small salmon and trout.

Another busy and fast paced show. I hope you enjoy it.
