A little slower paced show this week as we celebrate Memorial Day.

The show kicks off with my heartfelt thanks to all those who have served, and to their families.

Then the attention turns to fishing with my first guest Joe Marion. Joe is a retired Coastguardsman and Sheriff Department marine officer, who now spends much of his time fishing salmon off Ludington.

Joe has great advice to stay safe on the big water of the Great Lakes. He also had a couple of weblinks to check out. First, the Ludington Charter Boat Association, and the second for Rodmaster Charter, the fishing boat Joe works on.

In the second hour “Michigan’s Mr. Walleye” joins me. Pro walleye angler Mark Martin has a lifetime of fishing experience, and he loves to share that information. In a rare, hour long conversation, Mark and I shoot the breeze about all things fishing in Michigan. He also previews the big Can/Am tournament coming up in Brimley, MI next week. Mark says you can watch that weigh in live on the AIM Fishing website.

The fishing theme continues in the third hour as I talk with Lake St. Clair musky guide Don Miller. Lake St. Clair is a world class musky fishery, but the techniques used their are different than many other musky waters. Don talks about the finer points of trolling and also where to find the giant fish.

We wrap it up as always with wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar.

Fewer guests and longer conversations on this week’s show, but plenty of great information. I hope you like it.
