Summer continues to fly by as we kick off the first full weekend in July.
First, Lake Michigan charter captain Paul Schlafley of Riverside Charters joins me with a live fishing report from the water. Paul’s clients had a couple of big king salmon on the line while we were talking, which added to the excitement level of our conversation.
Next Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews joins me. Tom was taking advantage of a small lull between editions to work on some food plots.
The second hour features musky fisherman and avid sportsman Jim Felgenauer. Jim says I’ve become “cynical” about the Michigan DNR and we talked about the relationship between that department and it’s constituents these days.
Tony Hansen of MUCC wraps up the hour. Tony has details on the 75th anniversary celebration of his group. He also talked about the controversial land cap bill in Michigan.
Outdoor writer and expert outdoorsman Tom Lounsbury joins me in the third hour of this week’s Outdoor Magazine show. Tom tells of fishing for smallmouth bass on small farm creeks and rivers. He also has advice on mid summer woodchuck hunting.
And speaking of woodchucks, the show wraps up with a very tasty woodchuck recipe from wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar.
Another fast paced and informational show. I hope you like it.
