It’s another fast paced and informative show this week on Outdoor Magazine.
First, RJ Meyer of the Trophy Room Taxidermy Studio joins me to kick off a new contest. RJ is giving away a whitetail shoulder mount through his new facebook page. To enter, go to his page and hit “like”, then comment “I like the Trophy Room”. You can enter a second time at the Outdoor Magazine facebook page. The contest runs though October 1st.
Next, I draw the winner of this month’s Ameristep Carnivore ground blind.
The hour wraps up with Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews. Tom has one last preview of this year’s big Outdoor Weekend.
Jeff Murphy is my first guest in the second hour. Jeff is one of the trackers at Michigan Deer Trackn Hounds. That group was formed to help hunters retrieve fatally wounded game animals by using tracking dogs.
Tony Hansen of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs wraps up the hour. Tony says the Michigan DNR has no plans to change deer bag limits in areas affected by EHD. He also has a reminder about their “75 prizes in 75 days” membership drive.
The final hour of this week’s show features Captain Doug Deming of the Fish Point Lodge on Saginaw Bay. Doug talks about the history of the lodge, and looks ahead to waterfowl season.
As always Chef Dixie Dave Minar helps me wrap up the show. This week Dave has a very nice salmon recipe.
A solid show this week with lots of good information. I hope you like it.
