A fast paced show this week on Outdoor Magazine.
First, Alex Gyllstrom of Michigan based Scent Lok joins me. Scent Lok was the original scent suppression system for hunters, and still an innovator today. Alex has some great tips on how to use their products, and what’s new for this hunting season.
Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews wraps up the hour with a look back at their big Outdoor Weekend, and a look forward to their October issue.
In the second hour I’m joined by a good friend of mine, Jerry Wydner of the Hunter Safety System. Hunter Safety System has revolutionized the way hunters look at treestand safety and the company is responsible for saving countless treestand hunters from potentially deadly falls. Jerry and I reminisce about how the company got started and take a quick look at their products today.
Next, Rich Ochoa of the Freeland Chamber of Commerce joins me to talk about their first annual Great Outdoors Expo next weekend and what visitors can expect there.
Tony Hansen of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs wraps up the hour with a look at some outdoor related issues and a reminder about their big “75 products in 75 days” membership promotion.
Squirrel hunting with dogs is the subject of our final hour as I talk with Mike English of the Michigan Squirrel Dog Association
. Mike talks about the appeal of hunting with dogs and has some advice on getting started in the sport.
We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This week he has a very nice squirrel recipe.
Another good show, I hope you like it.
