A broad based list of topics this week on Outdoor Magazine Radio.

First retired Coast Guardsman Joe Marion has some great advice on cold water safety. Joe spent many years training fellow Coasties on ice rescue techniques, and as an avid angler, he has a valuable perspective on the topic.

Next, Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews tell how his deer season is going, and has a preview of the December edition of their magazine.

The second hour features an old friend of mine, Tom Lounsbury. Tom is an outdoor writer, radio host and expert hunter. He has some tips for hunting the late whitetail and pheasant seasons in Michigan.

Erin McDonough of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs wraps up the hour. Erin talks about the history of that organization and the projects they’re involved in today.

Coyote hunting is the topic of hour number three as I talk with Blaine Bailer of Jay’s Sporting Goods. Blaine has great advice for the hunter who wants to get started in that rapidly growing sport.

We wrap it up, as always, with Wild Game Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This week Dave has another tasty venison recipe.

Lots of great outdoor news and information this week….I hope you like it.
