My first guest this week is Jeff Poet of Jays Sporting Goods. Jeff and his crew were recently at the big Archery Trade Association show in Nashville where he found some interesting new products for the shelves at Jay’s.
Next, Chad Merrihew of Security Credit Union (SecurityCU.org) joins me to kick off our new partnership. Security Credit Union has some innovative programs designed to help hunters and anglers finance their outdoor adventures.
Hour two kicks off with John Southworth of the Michigan Trappers and Predator Callers Association (mtpca.com). John says interest in trapping is growing and the price for furs has been on the increase.
Adam Bump of the Michigan dnr is up next. Adam was in charge of coordinating the wolf hunt last month. He says it was a success even though the quota was not reached. You can learn more about wolves in Michigan at Michigan.gov/wolves.
The final hour features “Michigan’s Mr. UP”, Dan Donarski. Dan and I talk about many outdoor related issues, including how the rough winter is affecting upper peninsula whitetails.
We wrap it all up with wild game chef extraordinaire Dixie Dave Minar. This week Dave promotes his Helping Hands Sportsman’s Dinner coming up soon and also gives a quick walleye recipe.
Another good show. I hope you like it.
