We kick off this week’s show with walleye fishing master Mark Martin. Mark tells of a recent fishing adventure on Lake Gogebic where the wind chill was almost sixty below zero. He also talks about his upcoming Fishing Vacation School on Saginaw Bay out of the Linwood Beach Marina.
Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews wraps up the hour with a preview of their February edition.
Hour two features Mark Miller of the North American Shed Hunters Club (ShedAntlers.org). Mark discusses the appeal of searching for shed whitetail antlers and has some tips on where to find them.
He’s followed by Amy Trotter of MUCC. Amy talks about the status of the Citizens for Professional Wildlife Petition (CitizensWildlife.com) to fight the anti hunting movement in Michigan.
Whitetail and black bear expert Richard P Smith is up in the third hour. Richard talks about how the rough winter is affecting the UP deer population. We also discuss bear numbers across the state.
We wrap it all up with chef Dixie Dave Minar. Dave is recovering from a serious heart attack and bypass surgery. He describes what led up to the situation.
Another interesting show filled with great guests this week on Outdoor Magazine. I hope you like it.
I enjoy your program but it is only on at a time that is very difficult for me to listen on air. My PC has an impossible issue with ITunes that I have not been able to resolve. Is there any other way that I can get to hear these wonderful broadcasts?
Sure, listen on the Facebook page, website or mobile app for android or iPhones.
