It’s a fast paced show this week on Outdoor Magazine radio.
First, Drew YoungeDyke of mucc joins me to talk about the proposals on the Michigan November ballot. Drew says proposals 1 and 2 carry no legal weight, but it’s still important to send a message to the anti hunters. He encourages a “yes” vote on both ballot questions.
Then Karl Ieuter of the Ieuter Insurance Group has some good advice on how to insure your hunting and fishing gear.
Next, Allan Goetz of MiBuckpole has an update on the bucks being sent in to that website.
Hour two features whitetail hunter John Eberhart (deerjohn.net). John has advice for bowhunters during the early season and tells the story of how he shot a beautiful buck opening morning in northern Michigan.
The hour wraps up with Dwayne Etter of the Michigan dnr. Dwayne has an update on the feral hog problem in Michigan.
The wild pig conversation continues in the final hour of this week’s show as I talk with veteran hunter Nick Ostroski. Nick has a lot of experience hunting wild boars in Michigan.
We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This week the chef has another great venison recipe.
A fast paced show this week filled with great guests and information. I hope you like it.

Looks like some good info. Thanks.
Conserning the price of non-resident fishing licenses, my father lived in MI for 65 years then moved to Florida for health and retirement reasons. What would you think of allowing senior citizens that have 25+ years of residency be allowed to purchase a resident license.
Hmm, that’s an interesting question. I wouldn’t be opposed to that.
I was driving when listening to your show on 10/11/14 so I was unable to write down Dixie Dave’s venison recipe. Is ther any way you could e-mail that to me. It sounded wonderful. Thank you.
Sorry Arnie, I don’t have that recipe. It’s in Dixie Dave’s Wild Game Cookbook though.
