Then Mick Dingman, father of 11 year old Gavin Dingman, talks about the threats his family has received after Gavin legally shot an albino buck in Michigan.
Mitch Mountney of mibuckpole wraps up the hour. Mitch says the number of pictures submitted to their website continues to grow.
Hour number two features master gunsmith and shooting expert Glenn Duncan of Duncans Outdoor Shop in Bay City. Glenn says don’t wait till the last minute to sight in your deer rifle and he has some great tips to get make your gun as accurate as possible.
Then Carol Rose of the newly formed Michigan Wildlife Council joins me. Carol has information on a new project designed to educate the non hunting and fishing public about how valuable our lifestyle is.
Whitetails during the rut is the subject of conversation during hour three as I talk with Michigan icon Fred Abbas of A-Way Outdoors (awayhunting.com). Fred talks about “hunting the does” during this key time of year and the use of “cluster scrapes” to confuse big bucks.
We wrap it up with chef Dixie Dave Minar. This week Dave has a very nice pheasant recipe.

In last two weeks shows you have commented on the Nov 4 wolf hunt proposals and I thought I was clear on how to vote supporting the proposals. Yet this weekend, I got into t discussion with some people from Luzerne that claimed that voting “yes” would allow the Natural Resources Council full discretion over all wildlife issues and that a future governor could appoint all non-hunting/fishing membersto the committee. They intend to vote “no” to keep this from ever becoming reality, even though it plays right into the HSUS’s favor. Could you opine on this aspect on the next show even though the election will have taken place?
