It’s a little slower pace this week on the Outdoor Magazine Radio Show.
In the first hour I talk with Bruce DeShano of Michigan’s Offshore Tackle. Bruce was recently honored with a lifetime membership into the NPAA (National Professional Anglers Association) for his work in promoting fishing and the development of fishing gear and techniques.
The “Sturgeon General”, Brenda Archambo, (Sturgeon for Tomorrow) wraps up the hour talking about the sturgeon spearing season and the Black Lake Sturgeon Shivaree this weekend.
Hour two features veteran hunter Nick Ostroski. Nick has more experience hunting wild boars in Michigan than anyone I know. He has some great advice on how to find, and hunt, that invasive species. Nick also tells the story of his successful wolf hunt a couple of years ago.
Shed hunting is the topic in hour three as I talk with Mark Miller of the North American Shed Hunters Club (ShedAntlers.org). Mark says the search for dropped whitetail antlers is a great way to enjoy the outdoors this time of year and stay in touch with the local deer herd.
Not a lot of guests this week, but lots of great information. I hope you like the show.
