Rob Miller of the Michigan Deer Tracking Network is my first guest this week. Rob has used dogs to recover fatally wounded deer for hunters as long as anybody in the state. He talks about when to call in a tracking dog and how the new rules for tracking have made it even more effective.

Tom Campbell from Woods-n-Waternews wraps up the hour with a look at their December issue.

Hour two kicks off with outdoor writer and avid hunter Richard P. Smith. Richard tells the story of taking a big UP buck in Keweenaw County.

Steve Windom from the Michigan United Conservation Clubs is up next. Steve talks about membership in the organization and why it’s important for hunters and anglers.

Captain Mark Pieniozek of Reel Fishn is featured in hour three this week. Mark talks about duck hunting the open water of Saginaw Bay, late season walleye fishing there and also whitefish action from the pier in Tawas.

We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This time the chef has a very nice venison recipe.
