This week on Outdoor Magazine radio…..

First, I’ll wrap up my Michigan turkey hunt. It was a long season, but after twelve days I was able to take a long beard with my recurve. You can learn more about that here.

Then, we’ll check in Ron Pittsley of Hunter’s Niche Archery. Ron makes the Predator recurve I’m shooting. He’ll have some great tips on how to make the transition to traditional archery.

The first hour ends by checking in with our friends from Woods-n-Waternews. This time Tom Campbell joins us.

In hour two we talk fishing. First, the “Chairman of the Boards” joins us….Bruce DeShano of Offshore Tackle. Bruce was given that title years ago by the folks at In-Fisherman. Bruce talks about the evolution of trolling with planer boards, and introduces us to a new piece of gear from Offshore.

Then Mark Romanack of Precision Angling and Fishing 411 joins the show. Mark tells us about some fantastic early season salmon fishing off the port of St. Joe.

Hour three kicks off with my friend and former pro staffer Tim Roller of Ultimate Outfitters and Wild Addiction Television. Tim is a flyfishing guide on Michigan’s blue ribbon trout streams. He gives us some advice on getting started with a flyrod.

We wrap up as always with wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar. This week Dave has a very nice turkey recipe for us.

Another fast paced and informative show. I hope you enjoy it.

Remember, you can hear the show on our broadcast stations in Michigan. Also on I-tunes and here on the Outdoor Magazine website.
