The show kicks off with a recap of my successful Michigan turkey season. The weather has been tough for hunters so far this year so I am very thankful for that bird.

Then, Pat McKenna of the Ameristep company joins me. Michigan based Ameristep is one of the country’s premiere ground blind and accessory companies. Pat talks about the benefits of hunting from a ground blind and explains what’s new in their product line up.

Next, Rob Milano talks about the new Outdoor Magazine Radio App and how podcast listeners can use the software to access the Outdoor Magazine feed. He also discusses a new Deer Age Tool App his company has developed to easily age trophy whitetails.

The hour wraps up with Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews. Tom talks about his successful turkey season and the new online edition of his magazine.

In the second hour we head north to Quebec with Pierre Smarlack of Northern Outfitters. Ted Harpham of Darton Archery and I will soon be heading there for a spring bear hunt. Pierre describes what that hunt will be like, and the trophy walleye and pike fishing his camp offers.

Tony Hansen of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs wraps this hour up. Tony has an update on Michigan’s Hunter Heritage legislation that would eliminate the state’s minimum hunting age.

In the final hour, walleye tournament angler Mark Gwizdala joins me to talk about top level competitive walleye fishing. He also has some advice on fishing for spring walleye…especially in high water conditions.

Dixie Dave Minar anchors this week’s show with another great wild game recipe. This time it’s a very nice trout recipe.

Another busy show, I hope you enjoy it.
