Another busy show this week on Outdoor Magazine radio.
First, Greg Abbas of A Way Outdoors joins me to talk about his new business for helping inventors and entrepreneurs in the outdoor arena. Greg has successfully brought several new products to market and has some great advice to save others lots of time and money.
Then Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews checks in with details on their latest issue, the big outdoor weekend coming up in September and his plans to keep WNW relevant in today high tech world. Tom says the internet and video will both play a role in that evolution.
The second hour features Michigan’s “Mr. Walleye”, Mark Martin. Mark and I go way back to the early days of competitive walleye fishing here in Michigan, and I always enjoy talking with him. As always, Mark has some great tips and advice to help anglers be more productive.
Tony Hansen of MUCC wraps up the hour. MUCC is fresh off their successful campaign to eliminate Michigan’s minimum hunting age. Tony says that should be in place by next spring’s turkey season. He also has looks ahead at future projects his group might be involved in.
Food plots are the first topic of discussion in third hour. Eric Sherwood of Whitetail Select says even with the return of baiting to Michigan’s lower peninsula, food plots will continue to be popular. Eric also says now is the time to put in food plots for this season’s hunts. He has some great advice on how to get started.
The show wraps up with wild game chef and all around good guy Dixie Dave Minar. This week Dave has a very nice grilled salmon recipe.
Another busy show. I hope you enjoy it.
