Dave Mull of Great Lakes Angler Magazine is the first guest on this weekend’s show. Dave is the editor of that publication, and an avid angler as well. We talk about fishing the great lakes in general and get some hot spots and tips from Dave.
The second hour features Pete Jones of Superior Bear Outfitters. Pete is the guy I shot my wolf with last winter. I have an excerpt of that hunt on the Outdoor Magazine You Tube Channel.
Pete and I discuss that trip, as well as his bear hunting operation. That season starts mid August but Pete still has a couple of spots open.
Then, Tony Hansen of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs joins me. Tony has details on the Hunter Heritage bill on the Michigan Governor’s desk. That legislation would eliminate the minimum hunting age.
Outdoor writer and fishing guide Dave Rose kicks off the final hour of this weekend’s show. Dave’s Wild Fishing Guide service offers “on the water seminars” to his clients across northern Michigan. This time Dave talks about fishing the “dog days” of summer.
Wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar wraps up the show. This time he has a tasty walleye recipe.
A busy mid-summer edition of Outdoor Magazine Radio. I hope you enjoy it.
