It’s a cliche’ by now…but there’s another busy show coming up this week on Outdoor Magazine.

First, Tom Schneider of the Heater Body Suit company joins me to talk about staying warm in the coldest weather. I’ve used an HBS while wolf hunting in temperatures as low as minus forty degrees, and I can tell you first hand the product works great.

Then a conversation with Dick Peshinksi of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Dick is a member of an advisory committee that believes there should be a sand hill crane season in Michigan. He says their numbers are too high and the big birds are causing lots of damage to farmers crops.

We wrap up the hour by checking in with our friends at Woods-n-Waternews. This time Tom Campbell draws the short straw and talks about his hunting season so far, as well as some of the articles in their November edition.

The second hour features Chris Keefer of the Back Country Quest TV show. Chris, along with his brother Casey, just returned from a month long self guided adventure into the Alaskan wilderness. That trip will be featured on the Sportsman Channel early next year.

I also talked with Chris about the Rack 1 Whitetail System. Rack 1 is a great product for attracting deer during the hunting season, and growing a healthier deer herd year round.

Then Tony Hansen of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs joins me. Tony and I talk about the latest in Michigan’s feral swine saga and Michigan’s outdoor landscape in general.

Derrick Poet of Jay’s Sporting Goods helps kick off the final hour of this week’s show. Derrick has some great advice on choosing the right gear to get ready for firearm deer season coming up in just a couple of weeks.

As always, we wrap up with wild game chef extraordinaire Dixie Dave Minar. This time Dave has a very tasty venison recipe.

Like I said, another busy show. I hope you can join me.
