This week on the Outdoor Magazine Radio show…..
Bruce DeShano of Offshore Tackle joins me to talk about trolling for Great Lakes walleye. Bruce is the inventor of the Tattle Flag system for in line planer boards. I’ve found those flags to be extremely valuable, especially when you learn the nuances of how to fish with them.
Next, Randy Jorgenson from Woods-n-Waternews brought us up to speed on what’s going on in the great outdoors of Michigan.
In hour two we talked about bears…first with Terry McFadden of the Michigan DNR. Terry is a biologist out of Marquette and he gave us some tips on how to minimize human/bear encounters.
Then Mark Romanack told me about his recent bear hunting trip to Saskatchewan. Mark came home without an animal, but had a great trip anyway.
Our final hour kicked off with Tim Roller of Ultimate Outfitters and Wild Addiction television. Tim told me why he travels out of state to chase trophy whitetails and gave us some tips on how other hunters can do the same.
He also talked about summertime flyfishing in Michigan.
We wrapped up with wild game chef extraordinaire Dixie Dave Minar. Dave had a very nice salmon recipe for us.
Another busy show…I hope you enjoy it.
