Another busy show this week on Outdoor Magazine Radio.
My first guest is a good friend of mine with a thirst for adventure and trophy archery hunts. Gus Congemi of New York started as a pro staffer for the Outdoor Magazine TV show, but now he’s branched off with his own show called Live the Wild Life. Gus just got back from shooting what looks to be the biggest Alaskan brown bear ever taken with a bow.
You can hear an excerpt from that conversation here.
Next, 16 year old Dylan Ricky of Michigan talks about taking a nineteen point trophy buck during Michigan’s youth season.
Here’s video of that.
Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews wraps up the hour with a preview of their November edition.
In the second hour Richard P. Smith takes center stage. Richard is a noted outdoor writer, photography and videography with bear and whitetails as his primary area of expertise…so that’s what we talk about.
The final hour features another friend, Glen Duncan of Duncan’s Outdoor Shop in Bay City. Glen talks about buying used guns, maintaining the guns you already own and he has some great tips for sighting in your deer gun.
As always we wrap up with wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar. This week Dave and I shoot the breeze hunting and the fall in Michigan.
