We kick off this show talking about the Michigan deer season so far and take a look ahead to the muzzleloader season with my friend Tom Lounsbury.
Next, Tim Hart of the Q1 Buckpole contest joins me to talk about the latest entries in that state wide contest.
The second hour features Michigan’s most famous walleye angler, Mark Martin. Mark talks about fall fishing and the upcoming ice fishing season. He also tells me about the little known technique of hunting whitetails in sand dunes.
The hour wraps up with Tony Hansen of the Michigan United Conversation Clubs. Tony talks about reaction to the proposal that would eliminate Michigan’s minimum hunting age. We also discuss the role of MUCC today.
My first guest in the final hour talks about fall musky fishing in Michigan. His name is Don Barnard and he’s a veteran of the sport. We discuss why fall is a good time for trophy fish and some of the most productive techniques to target them.
Next, Bryan Darland of Jay’s Sporting Goods joins me to talk about hand held GPS units. Bryan has some good tips on choosing the perfect Christmas gift.
As always the show wraps up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar who has another tasty wild game recipe.
Another busy show, I hope you enjoy it.
