This week’s Outdoor Magazine Radio program starts out with a look at my Ontario bear hunt. Here’s a picture of my bear taken while hunting with Pete Jones of Superior Bear Outfitters in White River.

Then, I talk with Ted Harpham of Darton Archery. Ted and I discuss the success of Darton Day’s at Jay’s Sporting Goods and the strong interest in crossbows vs compounds.

Next, Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews joins me to preview their big Outdoor Weekend coming up in Imlay City in just a couple of weeks.

Hour two features outdoor writer and fishing guide Dave Rose. His Wild Fishing guide service takes anglers on fishing adventures across northern Michigan. This time Dave and I talk about fishing for late summer salmon off piers and in the rivers.

Tony Hansen of Michigan United Conservation Clubs joins me next. Tony had a lot to say about several key issues facing hunters and anglers in Michigan. Those topics include wild boar and the changes in crossbow legislation.

Our final hour kicks off with archery expert Lennie Rezmer of Carbon Express. Lennie recounts his experiences with bowhunting legend Fred Bear. We also discuss the transition from the old “Game Tracker” company to the modern day Carbon Express corporation. Lennie has some great insight and advice for bowhunters.

The show wraps up with wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar. This week, Dave brings me up to speed on the status of his wild game soups.

Another busy and informative show….I hope you enjoy it.
