It’s a busy show this week on Outdoor Magazine Radio.

First, I talk with Tony Demboski of the Upper Peninsula Sportsmen’s Alliance.  Tony checks in from his UP deer camp where he says the hunting has been pretty good this firearm season.

Then, Chad Wasco from Linwood Beach Marina on Saginaw Bay has details of a new line of ATVs and ORV’s they’ve picked up.

Tom Campbell from Woods-n-Waternews wraps up the hour talking about the large number of big buck pictures they’re getting in this season.

The second hour kicks off with Drew YoungeDyke from the National Wildlife Federation.  Drew talks about his recent deer hunting adventures in Michigan’s Pigeon River forest .  We also discuss the perception of a lack of trust in DNR wildlife managers.

Michigan DNR Wildlife Biologist Ashley Autenreith joins me next to talk about how the firearm season is going so far.  We also discuss the declining number of deer hunters in Michigan, and across the country.

Matt Pedigo from the Michigan Wildlife Council wraps up he hour with an update on the “Here for Generations” campaign.

We switch gears in the final hour and talk fishing with Bryan Darland of Jay’s Sporting Goods.  Bryan has great advice for late fall steelhead fishing as well as early ice fishing action.

We wrap it all up with wild game Chef Dave Minar and a very nice Venison Diane recipe.

I hope you like the show.
