Food plots are the opening topic of discussion this week as I talk with Nick Percy of Michigan based Killer Food Plots.  Nick describes how his company  started and also has great tips for the upcoming planting season.

Then James Severance of Burt Watson Chevrolet joins me to talk about their spring vacation promotion and their partnership with the Shiawassee Flats Citizens and Hunters Association.

In the second hour of this week’s Outdoor Magazine show we’re talking about whitetail movement patterns and how that might be used in the fight against CWD.

First, I talk with David Williams from MSU about the research being done in the southern Lower Peninsula (bcqwc.org/cwd).

Then Tyler Petroelje discusses a similar project in Michigan’s Western Upper Peninsula (http://facebook.com/carnivoreecologylaboratory).

Brad Dupuie of Angler Qwest Boats is up next.  Brad talks about the growth of his company and design changes for the new model year.

In the final hour of this week’s show we’re talking about a Michigan springtime tradition….maple syrup.  Kirk Hedding of the Michigan Maple Syrup Association describes the process of gathering sap and boiling it down to syrup.

Chef Dixie Dave Minar wraps it all up with a very nice rabbit recipe.

I hope you like the show.
