An interesting show coming up this week on Outdoor Magazine Radio.
First, I tell the story of a recent fishing trip on Saginaw Bay where my granddaughter decided to be the distributor of night crawlers from now on.
Then, Ted Harpham of Darton Archery joins me with a look at their new bows for the fall hunting season.
The hour wraps up as I draw the winner of this month’s Ameristep Carnivore ground blind. Congratulations to Jason Skeen of Douglas Wyoming.
Hour number two features one of the most riveting conversations I’ve had on the show. Dave Mull, editor of Great Lakes Angler Magazine, talks about sinking his fishing boat on southern Lake Michigan. Dave spent three and a half hours in the water before being rescued. If this happened to Dave, it can happen to any one of us and there are some great lessons to be learned from the accident.
The hour wraps up with Tony Hansen of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs. Tony brings us up to speed on the latest outdoor news and information out of Lansing.
Chris Keefer is my first guest of the final hour. Chris is one of the stars of the Back Country Quest and Dropped:Project Alaska TV shows on Sportsman Channel. He’s also an owner of the Rack 1 Whitetail System.
Chris talks about using his products to grow a healthier deer herd and addresses the question of whether it’s legal to use in Michigan.
The show wraps up with wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar. This time Dave has one of his classic walleye recipes.
A very informational and interesting show. I hope you like it.
