I kick it off with an update on the threatening email I got a couple months ago after shooting a bear on my TV show. Long story short…they found a seventeen year old kid in Henry County, Virginia who local police are confident is responsible for the threat.

You can get more details in this USTREAM video recording of the first hour of the radio show.

Next, Ted Harpham of Darton Archery joins me to talk about that company’s appearance at several hunting and sport shows coming up across the Midwest over the next few weeks. Ted also has details on a contest to win a new Darton bow or crossbow.

The hour wraps up with Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews. He also announces a special discounted subscription rate for listeners of the Outdoor Magazine radio show.

Greg Abbas of A-Way Outdoors is my next guest. Greg is a six time Michigan turkey calling champion and host of the A-Way Outdoors television show seen on Sportsman Channel. Greg has some great advice on springtime turkey hunting.

Next, Tony Hansen of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs joins me to talk about his impressions of the big SHOT show last week in Las Vegas. Tony says the gun industry seems to be more upbeat than their counterparts in the archery business. He also updates us on a couple of important conservation related issues in Lansing.

The final hour of this week’s show features Glenn Duncan of Duncan’s Outdoor Shop in Bay City, Michigan. Glenn was also at the SHOT show and he talks about the interesting trends he observed there, including a new emphasis on “modular” gun systems.

We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This week Dave has a hearty rabbit recipe.

Another busy and informative show. I hope you enjoy it.
