We kick off October with another busy show this week.

First, I talk a little about the fall hunting season and how lucky folks who live in Michigan are. We have the choice of some great hunting and fishing right now.

Then Brent Weiss of Weiss Equipment in Frankenmuth, MI joins me. Brent gave away a new Polaris 4wd camouflage four wheeler. Brent talked about the contest, then announced the winner….Dan Sika. We also got Dan on the line to congratulate him and find out he’s going to use the machine for ice fishing.

Next, Randy Jorgenson of Woods-n-Waternews joined me. Randy talked about their plans to get ready for bow season.

Our second hour started off with my old friend Tom Lounsbury. Tom is an expert hunter, especially for turkeys and deer. Tom had some great tips on hunting whitetails in standing corn.

Mark Romanack joined me next. Mark had some great stories about the Michigan youth hunting seasons and his time on the water, and in the woods, with his two sons.

The topic of the third hour was fishing…fishing for giant muskies. Kyle Anderson was on our phone line to talk about the new state record musky he caught out of Torch Lake in Northwest lower Michigan. Kyle is a hard core Musky Man and you can hear that conversation by clicking here

Then, the guy who took all the pictures of that big fish joins me. Dave Rose is a fishing guide and outdoor writer. Dave talked more about that new record musky, and fall fishing in general.

We wrapped up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar who had another great wild game recipe.

A bear, and interesting show this week. I hope you enjoy it.
