A busy show this week on Outdoor Magazine radio….
First, I talk about my initial experiences with my new Darton 2500. I’ve got the bow set up now and have been shooting it a lot. It’s fast and very comfortable to shoot. I’m looking forward to hunting with it this season.
Next, river guide Tim Roller of Ultimate Outfitters joins me. Tim has received lots of attention this week because one of his anglers (Tom Healy) caught a new WORLD RECORD brown trout while fishing with Tim last Wednesday. I interviewed Roller just five hours after they boated the 41 and a half pound monster in the Manistee River.
We wrap up the first hour with Tom Campbell of Woods-n-Waternews. Tom tells me what to expect from their big outdoor weekend at the Imlay City fairgrounds.
In our second hour we talk with Derrick Poet of Jay’s Sporting Goods. Derrick says it’s time for bowhunters to start practicing with broadheads, and he has some great tips for making those heads fly better.
Next, veteran angler and outdoor writer Mark Romanack of Fishing 411 joins me. We talk about that new world record brown trout and also discuss pre season strategy for bowhunters.
Our third hour kicks off with Greg Abbas of A-Way Hunting Products. Greg is an expert deer hunter best known for his ability to “talk deer”. Greg has some advice on calling whitetails and give us some examples of what those calls should sound like.
We wrap up the show with expert wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar. Dave has some great tips and brings us up to date on plans for his new line of wild game soups.
I busy, and informative, show this week. I hope you enjoy it…..
