This week on Outdoor Magazine radio it’s a mixed bag of hunting related guests and topics.

I start out with my friend and pro staffer Gus Congemi. Gus is an expert bowhunter who travels the world in search of adventure. Gus talks about a recent trip to South America where he took a trophy tahr and red stag.

The hour wraps up with Randy Jorgenson of Woods-n-Waternews. Randy previews their big Outdoor Weekend coming up after Labor Day.

The second hour kicks off with noted outdoor writer and wildlife expert Richard P. Smith. Richard and I discuss a variety of topics including bear and deer hunting issues.

Then Tony Hansen of MUCC brings me up to speed on several key wildlife and natural resource related issues coming out of Lansing.

The final hour of the show kicks off with George Lynch of Lynch Mob game calls. George has some great advice for early season goose hunting. We also talk about the state of hunting today and the perception many non hunters have of the sport.

The show wraps up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This time David and I talk about the upcoming launch of his new line of wild game soups.

Another busy show….I hope you enjoy it.
