New Michigan United Conservation Clubs Executive Director Amy Trotter is my first guest this week. Amy talks about the recent report outlining the economic impact of hunting and fishing in Michigan. She also lays out a plan of action based on those numbers.

Then Chase Turkstra of the Holland Fish and Game Club joins me to talk about their walleye rearing ponds and efforts to stock walleye in Southwest Michigan.

Trophy pike fisherman Taylor Pierson kicks off the second hour.

Taylor has great advice on targeting big pike on tip ups…especially on Southern Michigan lakes.

Next, Ed Roy of the Michigan Wildlife Council talks about that group and their “Here for Generations” campaign. He says their making good progress in their efforts to educate the non hunters and anglers in the state.

Michigan’s “Mr. Walleye”, Mark Martin is featured in the final hour this week. Mark is a member of the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame and a well known seminar speaker and fishing educator.

Mark and I talk about our early days fishing together and he goes on to give some great ice fishing tips.

We wrap it all up once again with wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar and another great wild game recipe.

I hope you like the show.
